A UHMW liner is a valuable addition to any press pan. There are many soils that will stick to a metal surface. The self-lubricating properties of UHMW liners minimize soil sticking, and improve the quality of the bed. In addition, soil is very abrasive and will wear out a steel press pan. UHMW has high abrasion resistance and greatly extends the life of the press pan. When the liner wears out, it can be replaced for much less cost than a steel press pan.
