Many growers like to lay plastic mulch over beds at the same time that the beds are raised and shaped. This eliminates one pass through the field with a tractor. Kennco makes an attachment for our superbedders that allows the grower to lay plastic mulch on a planting bed as it is shaped. The attachment bolts onto the back of a superbedder frame. It is functionally equivalent to our high speed plastic mulch layer. This attachment allows the grower to form a planting bed and cover it with plastic mulch in a single pass. We do not recommend that growers purchase our plastic mulch add-on and attempt to modify their existing superbedders. There are several modifications to the superbedder that need to take place. If you want to add a plastic layer to an existing superbedder, we suggest sending the unit to Kennco for the necessary modifications.
