This was the original Kennco plastic mulch layer. It is the perfect mulch layer for growers who lay plastic in fields that have a lot of hills and valleys. It rides close to the back of the tractor and stays tight against the soil surface regardless of terrain. The stretching wheels and closing disks float up and down for this purpose. Our pan type mulch layer carries a single roll of plastic mulch that rides freely on its rollers. The standard machine uses a flat roller that rides above the bed surface, rather than a crown roller which touches the bed. (Crown rollers are available as an option.) The pan type mulch layer is adjustable to various plastic mulch widths and can work with our drip irrigation tape attachment and fumigation knives.
