When laying plastic mulch on flat ground or on the top surface of a bed (instead of down its sides), disk blades are sometimes used in place of our standard boats. The disk is mounted on an adjustable shank to dig as deep and wide a burying cup as necessary. We use a 12 in concave disk for this purpose.
