BP700 Cross Ditcher |

| In many geographic regions or field situations, the removal
of excess water from the field requires additional efforts. Our cross ditcher
is a tool that cuts a channel in a bed or berm to allow water movement in
the field across the planting beds or into a drainage ditch. We make a single
row unit that can be used on berms or individual planting beds and a three
row unit to cut cross ditches through three beds at a time.
Cross ditchers are powered by your tractors hydraulic system, and are controlled by the tractor driver. The driver moves to the location in the field where you need the cross-ditch. After lowering the implement over the bed, the driver operates the side shovels that close into the center of the bed, and cuts out a section. The operator lifts the cross ditcher and moves to the next location. As he moves the tractor to the next spot, he opens the side shovels and they feather the collected soil out into the row middles. |
