BP100 Level Board |

| A level board is used to apply the finishing touches to
an un-level field. A correctly leveled field has good irrigation and drainage
characteristics. The level board leaves a smooth finish and does not create
or deposit any washboard surfaces.
As the level board passes over uneven terrain in the field, its blades scrape soil from the high areas and roll it into the low areas. Hydraulic cylinders connected to the tongue and rear roller are used to control the front to back height of the level board. Soil is moved from side to side as the level board passes over an area, filling in low spots. Any excess soil not needed to fill low areas is passed out the rear of the machine to the side. A finishing roller compacts the soil to minimize blowing dust and to show the quality of the leveling action. The Kennco level board includes hydraulic adjustment to prevent the machine from digging too deeply into the soil if the tractor passes through a low spot in the field or begins to experience wheel slippage. It also includes cutting edges for the leveling blades that can be replaced when they wear. It can be set up with laser leveling systems. |
