50218 Hiller Hub

Want to Improve Your Plastic Layer?

One of the items frequently replaced on plastic layers is the hub that holds the discs used to bury the plastic. Kennco has designed a new hub that is being installed on all of its new layers, and is available to upgrade your existing machines.

Testing has shown that the new hiller hub will last at least twice as long as the old style hub. The new hub sells for about 20 percent less than our old hub and should only need to be replaced every other year. If this is the minimal wear life on the new hub, your annual replacement cost is only 40 percent of the cost to replace the old style hubs.

How many times per year do you replace hiller hubs?

How many plastic layers do you have that need new hiller hubs?

In cost and performance, the new 50218 hiller hub is a better product for your plastic layer.

The design of the new hiller hub has some limitations in its application on Kennco plastic layers. The body of the hub is longer to accommodate the required geometry of the internal bearings. This means that you will probably have to readjust the closing discs on your plastic layer. Don't let this discourage you from making the change though. We have an off-set shank that can be used to fit the disc into its proper position with the new hub. Taking the time to put 3" of adjustment into your plastic layer can save you quite a bit of money in replacement costs.

To confirm that the new hiller hub will work on your plastic layer call Kennco and ask for our sales department. They can answer all of your technical questions about these new hubs.

Upgrade now. The new hubs are a good choice economically. They are a better quality product. And there will come a day when the old style hubs are no longer available.
